This museum gathers the whole of the subaqueous archaeological collections discovered since the Sixties. Created in 1985, the museum developed around an old XVII century farm. Inaugurated in 1987 with the return of the statue of the Ephèbe, this museum is devoted to the local history. You will be able to discover objects found on ancient boats, concerning life in Greek cities. Those objects found on wrecks come from the XVII to the XIX centuries. This museum inaugurated in 2000 is the fruit of the meeting of two artists collectors: Article Herve di Rosa and Bernard Belluc. By the words modest art understand astonishing objects such as Bonux gifts, Barbie headstocks, jokes and traps, Mokarex soldiers, lucky bags and many other strange things.

The museum was transferred in the Seventies into a new building facing the marine cemetery where the famous poet is buried. It exposes objects and works recalling the history of Sète from Gallo-Roman times until today. A part of it is also dedicated to the water joustings while a room is entirely devoted to Paul Valéry.

This museum is a the result of the archaeological excavations undertaken by Henri Prades. Their goal was to study the activity of the Port de Lattes during Prehistory (the Neolithic era and the Gallo-Romans one). Objects found during the excavations are there for you to be admire in the museum. The museum also attracts visitors with temporary exhibitions.

The town of Palavas recalls in this museum the work of the famous draughtsman who seemed to be forgotten a long time ago. You will be able to admire his drawings on the Small train of Palavas which used to ensure the connection between Palavas and Montpellier. His sense of humour and his particular way of drawing should be (re)discovered!

Installed in an old chappelle des Pénitents Blancs built in 1642, it has a very beautiful collection of shells and local birds. Testimony of the local inheritence: fishing, salt, sea trade and muscatel. The museum exposes a muscatel from the end of the XIXème century as well as paintings from the same period.

The municipality of Marseillan created this museum in 1994 to present the personal collection of Mr. Alain Bort. You will be able to discover hundreds of naturalized birds coming from all over the world. Some of them are very rare. This collection is the fruit of three generations of collectors.
