 The
Beach
Palavas
les flots is no less than a seven kilometer long sand
beaches with sports equipment like grounds of beach volleyball,
arranged beaches, showers, clubs for children and many
other surprises. The amateurs of wind surfing and kite-surfing
will not be disappointed either. Palavas is the ideal
place if you want to spend the holidays at the seaside
while benefitting from comforts of the modern life and
equipment.

 The
town
This old village of fishermen located
at the end of the river Lez owes its name at the end “palus-avis”:
“the birds' marsh”. During the second half
of the 19th century until not so long ago, a small train
linked Montpellier to Palavas but it is now replaced by
the current bus. Today, this village is especially known
for the quality of the services which it offers to the
estivants, shops, banks, restaurants, cafés, casino,
water sports, hiring of boat and of course of varied catering
places (hotels, camp-sites).
