Take the A9, leave St Jean Vedas cross and follow the road of
Laverune.

Themed visits are proposed throughout the year, you can get
information on location. Heir of the superb grid of entry belonging
to the Castle of Mosson, this residence was owned by an adviser
of the Court of Auditors. It is built in Louis XV's style, a
principal body with two wings, it is today a famous wine field.
In an arched part contiguous to wine tasting vault, the castle
owners created a museum of wine showing the tools and the machines
being used for wine production since the end of the XIX century.

It is open all year long on reservation by contacting the owners
Mister or Madam de Colbert. In July and August opening everyday
from 2:00 to 6:30 except Monday.
Tarif: 6,50€, TR: 4€, 4€ also
for the free visit of the gardens, free for the children of
-12 years.
Castle dating from the end of the XVIIè century, the
gardens were constantly improved from the XVIIIè century
to our days. The castle, its parks and gardens were classified
'historic buildings' since April 1986. Occupied by the family
since 1696, it is the perfect example of a traditional wine
property. The castle has a library of more than 2000 volumes,
some elements belonging the collection of paintings and objets
d'art of J-J of Boussairolles can also be seen. You will be
able to admire there very beautiful Flemish tapestries of the
XVIIè century, furniture, as well as documents of the
Court of Auditors of Montpellier since the XVIII century. Various
botanical species in the park also make the owners proud. The
museum shows films in French, English, Japanese and German.

Opened saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays from 2:30 to 6:00
from the 1st of October to the 31st of May and everyday at the
same times from the 1st of June to 30st of September. Apart
from the normal opening days you can visit it on appointment.
Tarif: 5€ and 2,50 € for children.
The castle of Mogère is the typical example of what one
called the “folies” (madnesses) of Montpellier,
these residences of summer built by the Montpellier's aristocrats
or high bourgeoisies during the XVIII century. This one dates
from the beginning of the XVIII century, it is classified 'historic
building' and belongs to the same family since its construction.
It displays a rich interior with furnitures dating from XVII
and XVIII centuries . You will be able to admire portraits of
notable Languedociens (magistrates of the Court of Auditors:
Stone, Ranc, David), but also a portrait of Louis XIV in front
of Maastricht painted by Mignard. Dead natures of A. Breughel,
Pentecost of J. Jouvenet are the castle's treasure. To be absolutely
seen: the water dresser in rubble and the living room of gypseries.

The tram serves Mosson
By car follow the direction of Juvignac then right before the
bridge crossing Mosson at the exit of Montpellier turn left
and park in front of the park.
The park is opened until 17:45 !
This residence was one of most important of Montpellier, built
in first half of the XVIII century by a banker become the baron
of Mosson. Unfortunately with death of the owner at the end
of the XVIIème century the residence was stripped. Since
it benefites from a long restoration. It was surrounded by a
populated sumptuous park full of statues with a beautiful fountain
baroque which remains the only survivor today since the statues
were scattered in particular with the profit of the castle of
O. This garden is public garden today.

the road of Ganges and then Celleneuve or castle of O on the
left.
Opened to the public only during temporary exhibitions.
Property of the Conseil Général, it is
particularly known for its gate surrounded by two stone lions
and its park in which one can find statues originally belonging
to the castle of Mosson. The building dates from the middle
of the XVIII century, the gardens were arranged and a basin
was dug. Today the gardens are useful for the plays played during
the Festival “Le printemps des comédiens”.

This one is a true castle of the Middle Ages since the first
building dates back to the XIII century. After multiple acquisitions
it becomes the property of the Bishops of Montpellier. It posses,
on the east side, all the attributes of a military masonry with
machicolations. During the XVIIè and XVIIIè centuries,
a large park and a 'Jardin à la Française' were
planted followed by an 'English Garden'. The vault is the master
piece of the same architect author of Peyrou, Daviler.
The 1st floor of the castle is transformed today into the Hofer-Bury
museum which presents works of contemporary artists during temporary
exhibitions. The grounf floor is a music room decorated with
“gypseries”.
